Hospital visit

Morning all

Off the the Royal Brompton today for bloods and allergy tests. Had to stop some of my medds 3 days ago because of tests one being my antihistamine really found it tough going re. Pollen ..... Been very wheezy and sob ... 👎👊😵

Had the same a couple of years ago, it was a nightmare, think the hardest part was not using my inhalers I was going to Glenfields, was in the throws of a full blown asthma attack when I got to the breathing test, doctor was pleased because they want you wheezy. Hope it goes well for you.

Good luck with it all. I had 17 pricks done and only the histamine one came up! I was told to stop cetirizine a week before testing but I m so dosed up with steroids I don't think it would a difference so that was a waste of time for me.

Hey ..... Funny you should say that coz this is the second time I've had the allergy skin prick tests done in 6 months and both times the same results - inconclusive !!!!!

And both times I tell them I'm on a maintenance of 25 mg of pred daily and does this make any difference ????

I'm just ignored !!! 😵👎

Well for sure. Tell you an example I went for a scanner the other day couldn't remember how I felt with the iodine injection so they told me to take 30mg pred at midnight and 30mg 30mn before going to prevent an allergic reaction.

So mention it to them and see xx
