Today was supposed to be the last day of this 5 day course of pred, only when I came to taking it I realised I forgot to take yesterdays. So I've taken todays, and was going to take the missed dose tomorrow instead, does this sound sensible or should I check with a pharmacist?
In all honesty I haven't really seen improvement in my asthma since taking them, strangely yesterday was maybe a little better, but today is all downhill and I wondered if its all down to missing the dose? I feel so silly missing it!
Any advice?

Might be an idea to check if you can - pharmacist or would NHS Direct/111 help just to let you know?
I don't really know but perhaps if you'd had the effect building up then missed a dose it would have a delayed effect? But I'm not confident enough in how it all works to say for sure. I do know if I'm bad and forget a dose of Symbicort (even just one puff of 3) I'll notice that; less so if I'm doing ok.
Probably time to go back to GP if you're not seeing any improvement in general though. Much as I'm sure you love the idea of the place being a second home... It may just be you need to be on them for longer; it's taken mine about that long to have some proper effects because I'd been not so sensible and also not doing anything about it when it was all getting worse. And if you're trying to carry on as normal then that will be undoing the effect, as I was warned - GP said the pred doesn't have a chance to work if you keep stirring up the inflammation!

My GP said the same thing.
I agree with Philomena - if you aren't better, time to go back to GP and discuss the matter.
Hope you feel better soon Butterfly and can find ways to rest. (I'm kind of guessing that is easier said than done.)

Thanks for your reply Philomela, I've tried calling NHS direct but they're only taking urgent calls at the minute, so I'll keep trying or ring a pharmacist in the morning before taking it.

Hmm, yes I feel you might be right and that I should be heading back to my second home ;-( I've got to say I'm very reluctant but I can't carry on like this, haven't slept properly for ages and am finding it difficult to keep up with things.
Beth - yes resting is nigh on impossible but I do try to sit somewhere on my own when I'm struggling so I can just concentrate on sorting my breathing out. I hope I'm not stirring up the inflammation, my gp didn't give me any instructions with regards to rest, I do when I can, that's the best I can do! I have to be at work later this week too, no one to cover me this week.
