Sorry, have been meaning to say this for a while and keep forgetting.
I've noticed that you can see people's email addresses sometimes when you click on their profiles. You have to be signed in but even so, not sure I'm comfortable with this as it's very easy for anyone to create an account and see these addresses.
Can someone look into this and maybe make it so you can't see those details?
(NB - this is something I'd rather have put in a PM as I don't want everyone to go and look!)
Also I get a scrip error run when I click on yours!
I think it has occurred when people have amended their profile and allowed people, somehow to see their email addresses, unless there is something quirky in the system.... which wouldn't surprise me.
Also when you click on accept buddies thing, it throws up an error scrip.....
I have no idea who has asked me to be a buddy but I can't accept or see them.

Thanks for raising the issue Philomela! I have not spotted this either myself but will have a good look now.
We as the moderators and Asthma UK I am sure will recognise this is not ideal for data protection issues.
If needs be, as the pm service is not possible, people could perhaps get in touch off forum where such contact exists.
In regards to the pm service and buddy system, these have not been available since the relaunch. I am waiting to hear back from the
Asthma UK digital team in regards to the website/forum updates.

At present there is no safe way to do that - in order to contact one another off forum we would have to publicly exchange private identifying information ""on forum"".
Thanks beth for making that clear. Just wondering...would it be possible for us to email the web editor and ask them to convey our personal email adress (for example) to a particular other user?
does anyone else not see avatars anymore?
All I get is a red cross and the word avatar instead of the little picture.
I get a little blue box with a whote question mark in it lol...
ooohhh i hadn't actually noticed that but no i get the blue box with 'avatar' in it :-s
