costochondritis

Has anyone been diagnosed with costochondritis? I have seams to make my wezzing worse than normal going back to see my gp 2mor ! bean to a n e 2 times in a week ! cant take anti-inflamatory drugs as this makes me have bad attacks !! ideas ?

Hi Mat,

Not much use I'm afraid! I have had this so I can sympathise as it really hurts and is the last thing you need on top of dodgy lungs, but I'm one of the lucky ones who can take NSAIDS without it doing anything to my breathing etc so that was my (GP-endorsed) solution. I'd definitely push the GP for some kind of pain relief though as you don't want that on top of asthma - plus it might make you get into a bad breathing pattern which won't help the asthma either.

Good luck, hope things improve for you! I did find sitting up as straight as possible helped - slouching was worse, if that's of any use.

thanks yep i am in a lot of pain atm ! going to see gp 2mor as i am now haveing trubble sleeping
