I'm not sure. Could you explain, seeing as everything you have posted this evening remains on public display?

This is now the third time I have asked you to stop posting about this. If you make any further posts in public on this matter, I will have no option but to suspend you from the message boards.

You keep doing as you are told, you'll be alright.

Don,t take on Peaksteve you'll be cut off.

*sigh*

Okay, if that's your attitude, so be it.

As a moderator of Asthma UK's message boards, we moderate the postings here according to their rules. This message board belongs to Asthma UK, and as such they have the right to decide on its contents. Your original posting was deemed by them - not by the moderating team - to warrant deletion. Rob - you do realise that this *is* a public posting? As Steve mentioned, there is no PM facility on this board at present, so everything that you have posted is publicly viewable.

Rob, this is not just a decision by Peaksteve but as already said Asthma UK itself and the moderator team. There has been no hiding. In signing up to the forum, you agreed to the terms and conditions of the forum.

In regards to your swine flu post, nobody was denying there has been side-effects, there were many posts on here when it started. As with any medication, there is a chance but this is far out balanced by how serious a condition flu in general can be.

I take part in many forums from Volkswagens to Cameras to Health to Running - Yes I know I'm not the shape for running but the discussions are lively and fun. For each and every forum, the rules are very similar to AUK. If there is some dispute between poster and mods or the people behind the forum then it is suggested that takes place privately.

Like making a complaint in a big store. One speaks to the manager or writes to head office. In the event this doesn't produce the desired result, contact is made with Watchdog or CAB.

From what I have read of your posts, what you appear to be doing is similar someone standing in Tesco shouting that the cucumbers are off or the service is crap. Yes, people will look up to see what the shouting is about and yes, the shop staff will try to draw the person to one side, to not draw attention and of course the protester will only struggle and shout louder but the shoppers will, on the whole, look at it as momentary entertainment and not as something to be bothered about or taken seriously. To see someone huckled out by security adds to that general feeling and almost certainly nothing to that protesters cause.

If I were you, I'd save the vitriol and if you carry on heckling by simply repeating the same line, time after time, then I for one, will not be listening.

GrannyMo, that's a GREAT analogy and yet again you are quite right. I suspect that I'm not the only one who has been looking on in amazement at what appears to be a fairly destructive and self-defeating course of action with the feeling that, while I'd like to find a way to suggest that it was probably not too wise, anything I might say would only add fuel to the fire. Anyway, thanks to you I do now have something appropriate to say, which is a resounding 'Hear hear'.

Not what you're looking for?
