EU peak flow meters

Can anyone help? We use EMIS in our surgery and so far the predicted peak flow readings for the asthma/ copd template are still UK scale! Have other practice nurses had the same probelm and have any of you managed to fix it?

Many thanks

peak flow meter

I use the EU peak flow meter now having used the old one previously. my peak flow readings are definitely 50 below my previous readings.

EU / Old scale

Hi, we're on EMIS too, and I believe that the new just changed, EMIS templates are EU scale, but we've lost the predicted pf, which is a pain!

Our IT GP is going to create a drop-in template to add the EU scale predicted PF's, but I haven't got that yet.

When we do, I can see if there's any way of networking what he does, so that others can use it too.

Meanwhile, I have been using the online converter at peakflow.com then click on the on-screen converter - before your very eyes, it shows you both scales. Only ok if you've got internet access on your computer though!

Hope that helps...

Angela.

Thanks!

Dear Angela

Thank you so much for replying I will have to download the new emis template- what a pain the predicted drops off! Let me know if your clever GP sorts it out!

Thanks again

Karen
