orange squash

this is weird .. nearly every time i drink orange squah my asthma gets bad i become tight chested and weezy. I can drink organge juice and eat orange am i allergic ???

Its the sulphites (sulfites) look out for ones without them. Ki-ora used to be chockfull of them I can remember a long long time ago as kiddie wheezing my through films cos I had had a carton of Ki-ora during the interval.

I was allergic to the Tartrazine yellow colourant in orange squash. Try Kia-Ora! I cant deal with Robinson's Orange squash either - too many chemicals x

I have exactly the same problem. For me it is the sodium metabisulpahate found in many fruit drinks (Robinsons, kiaora etc etc). Sulpahates are used by food manufacturers to preserve and extend the shelf life of products and crop up in suasages, beefburgers, ready meals, wines etc to name but a few! Many asthmatics have problems with them so just study those food labels when your out shopping!!
