newly diagnosed asthma

just recently diagnosed asthma, just curious to know what symptoms people have at night. i seem to feel like my throat swelling and i m choking just wonderering if any one else gets this ?

I usually just have SOB and sometimes a cough when I have night symptoms.

Just a thought - and this is obviously not a diagnosis because I am not a doctor and this is a forum, but it might be worth asking your doctor about VCD (vocal cord dysfunction), as your throat is closing up? I was hard to diagnose, turned out I didn't have VCD and did have asthma but VCD was suggested at one point as it can sometimes be mistaken for asthma and is also more likely to co-exist with it I think (quite a few people with VCD are apparently asthmatic as well). Maybe have a look on a good website and ask GP about it?
