is it okay to use symbicort for 5 yrs

ive been using symbicort 160/4.5mcg. for nearly six years. i seldomly have attacks since then but everytime im attempting to stop using it ,coz i always have one puff every night. i feel that im having shortness in breathing. so i really could not stop using it.
