Fainting and asthma

Can asthma make you faint?? Anyone faint with it?

Can't say I have ever fainted but i have felf very dizzy!

i have, but i think that was mostly due to hyperventilation while having an asthma attack

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I thought blood pressure went up during attacks and stops you passing out?? Hyperventilation causes a drop in carbon dioxide levels which can cause you to pass out (I think).

yep TKS, unless very hypoxic which is rare unless very severe.

thanks for replying guys. Yep.. the doc says i'm panicking making things worse.... hyperventilating!!
