Kipo If the nebs ain't helping only one thing you can do is to see a dr straight away..... Hopefully you just need a wee tweek of medicines or increase of steriods if they have been reduced. Hope u feel

better soon. let us know how you get on ...... Gussypoo

trying to get in with dr but have no appointments till 2morrow so ill struggle on till then

I understand that you really do not want to go back to hospital Kipo but I strongly urge you to see a doctor as soon as possible as we do not know what condition you are in at the moment as we can't see you, please do not hesitate calling an ambulance, they would much rather treat someone who is less ill at this stage than someone who is much worse later and I sure you don't want to be in hospital for ages.

dont feel in need of ambulance at the mo partner is going to come home shortly just feel a strain on resources at the mo little bit more comfortable currently but if things deteriorate then i will be off to local a&e again. dont worry i know when i need to go in and wont put myself in jepordaY WAS JUST WONDERING IF THERE WAS ANYTHING PPL FOUND TO HELP RELIVE SYMPTOMS LIKE CERTAIN POSITIONS ETC

Kipo your post states nebbing very reguarly and having little affect. If this is not the case then i suggest you edit your post as what your post says is you need to go to hospital and are being very silly writing that on the boards and worrying people! Sorry to sound harsh but it unfair on others.

Take me, today i noticed something was not right with my health i rung GP, no appointments i asked receptionist to tell the doctor my current condition and my GP rang me back within 15 mins and gave me a telephone consultation because i am a chronic asthmatic. So ignore there is no appointments and ask for receptionist to tell the GP your current situation. As an asthmatic on nebuilsers they are not allowed to refuse you that day medical treatment, or you could take yourself and sit in surgery till they can see you. I also done that before.

Kipo, all the advice from everywhere and everyone I know says if your reliever be it inhaler or nebuliser is not helping or doing very little you need to go in. Nebulisers are not given out willy-nilly for the very reason you are demonstrating: people will sit on nebulisers and not go in when they should do. This is how asthmatics die. You are clearly well beyond the ""sitting a certain position"" I know it is tough to bounce straight back in but getting there in a reasonable state should mean an easier admission. Please please please go in and go in now before it is too late.

Finally this board really is not meant for this kind of posting, it scares and worries many users. I appreciate you are desperate to avoid admission but beleive me if there was something else that could be done when nebs are not working a great many of us would be doing it!

kipo, I see your occupation is carer. What would you be doing if instead of you, this was someone in your care suffering in this way? Yup. Getting on the phone and dialling 999.

You are just a little younger than my daughters and I do not hesitate to either cause a stink to get an emergency appt with the GP or if out of hours, take to A&E if only for peace of mind - if its a serious thing, A&E will recognise that and you will be saved the long queue.

Take care,

GM

PS you know we can't give medical advice and asking for a 'position' with your 'present symptoms' are kind of asking us to break that rule.
