Dont use it personally,but I was amused to hear one of the lads at work last night saying that hes lost count of the number of people he used to go to school with who never say hello to him and the wife but are always ""begging"" him to be ""friends"" on Facebook !!?

Unless you set otherwise, Facebook will try to unite you with friends of friends and through some of your tags. I'd put down Techno and rock as music preferences in my profile. Immediately I was invited to join a rave and to be friends with this and that. Wrote back saying thanks but declining offer as old enough to be their mum. Surprisingly they all said that didn't matter. Good kids all.
on my facebook i only really have the people i met through a website i was on for my anxiety and panic attacks :S its weird only a handful are my ACTUAL friends.
