Anyone from Newcastle or nearby?

I am spending a couple of days in the city next week-primarily to see the scarily good Interpol at the acadamy and as I havent been for several years I was wondering if ""they"" do trips down the Tyne?-Im always a sucker for river trips and I couldnt see anything on the Tourist info web page.

I'm in Newcastle and although I've never been on any of the trips down the Tyne, I know there are some. I'm not sure of the companies that do them and I'm surprised that the tourist information doesn't have anything about them. You could try the council website - they might have some info about them. their address is newcastle.gov.uk Let me know if you want any other ideas of things to do, places to go, things to see. How long are you up here for?

I will try that site and some of the unofficial tourist guides-they often have more useful info than the official ones-I am just staying the 2 nights at the Jurys hotel so I am trying to get as much in as poss.
