Can someone advise whether humidifiers are good to use for asthmatic children??

Thanks

I'm not a child but did buy one for myself (warm air mist), and found it to be really great, but others on here seem to say they make them worse, so you will need to work that out.

I don't have it like being sat in a sauna, but keep the humidity level to 70-80% and that works for me. The warm air ones are best for asthma, as the cold damp air from the others are usually closely related to most peoples triggers (cold damp air)

What I would ask is, does your child suffer with a sore, dry throat when in the house, and more in the winter when the heating is on, if so then the lack of humidity is the cause, thats also why people get more colds in the winter.

hope this may be of some help.
