My wheat bag is my best friend it's shaped for neck and shoulders use it every day. Looking at electric one for when away in motor home she is a 35year-old classic so no microwave so looking for something else for next year as plan a lot of away time starting in New year .

Any advice would be great

You could maybe try a double boiler to heat up your heat pad. I haven't tried this, but it may work. I use feed corn in my bags. It seems to stay warm longer than rice or wheat.

As for an electric pad, I use a Sunbeam CAT95C that warms up nicely. My only concern is with the emf's heat pads give off, especially when using them all the time. There are emf shielded heat pads on Amazon. They are pricey though. I bought one last year. It has stones that heat up via shielded wires. The only thing I don't like about it is it's hard to sit on.

Argos sell a great heat pad, I use all the time for my neck and back. My son bought me it many Christmas's ago. Best present I have ever had. They are priced now around he £25.00 mark. Also JML do a heat collar and shoulder cape, again electronic. This is great for my neck and shoulders. I acquired mine from eBay, price around £15.00

Some years ago, I bought a brand new round the neck shaped plug in heat pad off an online auction site, I'm presuming you have a socket for a plug in your motor home ? I'm sure I've heard one can heat up the wheatie bags inside an oven and I'm thinking you might have a mini oven in the motor home. Also wondering if the wheatie type bags would heat up in one of those skillet type pans. Have you come across them ? Wish I could remember the name of them but they are very popular for people without ovens in older caravans. ( been there done that) they have a lid and jacket pots and toasties and all sorts can be cooked in them. I'll try and remember to look out the booklet.

Glad to hear you have the hook up. In days gone by we could manage without it when we had the small black and white non digital tv but we would be lost without it now as not only has the system with the batteries charging has changed due to eu rules but the colour tv takes a lot of power. Enjoy your motor home traveling. 🎄

I have an electric one with 3 heat settings. From shoulders to waist

Has a removable cocer for washing. I googled it and came from germany. Cost £30. Sorry cant find maker. Google show quite a few. It does feel very comforting. But wont take pain away completely.

Its also temperature controlled. Runs for 3 hrs then switches off so if need be i switch it back on again and keeps me lovely and warm.
