I'm on 25mg per day but haven't noticed any adverse effects. I'm also on furosemide 40mg per day to remove fluid though.

Hello there Brian I am also on (amongst other things) furosemide 40 mg twice a day and one tablet of the same medicine you query about. I do notice my bowels are fairly loose and I have mild diarrhoea on occasion. However I’m not too worried as previously I had extreme fluid Retention (I they removed 10 kg of water!!) so I am very happy to see that my weight remains stable from day to day The The side-effects of any medication tend to get better over time for most people. Obviously the things that are going to make you loose would be spicy food, beer, wine, fruit and of course chocolate! If you are simply “very loose“ rather than true diarrhoea (where you need to dash up and down to the toilet constantly and are“ out of control“)then I wouldn’t worry too much .. actually having loose bowels is very good for you .

coca-Cola and rice help to close things up somewhat. Sorry if this post is rather frank but it must be addressed on a medical site in a factual manner. I wish you the best with your health regards Nick
