Does anyone else take entresto instead of candesartan for heart failure 🤔🤔🤔🤔

Hi it’s supposed to be the new wonder drug really helping heart failure. However I’ve tried it at the lowest dosage 3 times and found it really doesn’t suit me I felt exhausted and worse while taking it.

My cardiologist was very enthusiastic about it which is why I persevered. Probably worth a try if you are advised to I’m never straightforward with any treatment good luck!

My husbands cardiologist is looking to put him on it once he's had an echo, should be in about 3 month's. I know of people who are on it & it really gives good results, if you can tolerate it. Not everyone can tolerate it as it can really lower your blood pressure. If you post this question on the BHF forum there's a number of people on there with heart failure who are taking it.

My father in law is on it. He had no energy prior to taking it and even thought his end was near. Immediately after he started his dosage he felt reborn. He had more energy, stamina and felt like a new man. He couldn't believe it!

I started in July '19 and now on max dose.

I seem to be tolerating it OK (Liver, kidneys,etc) but I do feel tired all the time. Like you though, that's no change to how I normally feel

My Cardiologist and my local chemist both highly rate it.

I'm on a dose of "sacubitril 97 mg-valsartan 103 mg" twice daily

I’ve been on the highest dose for two years and my cardiologist, on my last visit, said I was now classed as stable so she didn’t need to see me for a year. Prior to starting Entresto I was in and out of hospital every few months and my quality of life was very poor. Now I walk up to three miles everyday and look after my grandchildren of four and five, five days a week, go on lots of holidays and generally feel almost “normal”.

My HF nurse would like me to take this medication instead of Ramapril as she thinks it would help me. Unfortunately my bp is too low. Until, and if, bp gets over 100 I cannot take it as bp too low - usually in 80's and 90's. I have a friend who takes Entresco and her heart has improved.

Entresto about killed me. Choking and coughing. I could barely get my be

Hi Wodney1966 I am on entestrto they started me on the low dose now I am on the max dose, it took me about six months to get to the max dose. I am also taking spironolactone 25mg, which works really well with the entrestro. I use to get really tired the meds has really helped And the pacemaker. Cause I am on the go all the time I still get tired which is me over doin things.

hi, glad to hear you obtained your Entresto - I have been on full dose for 18 months with no side affects, but i do seem to know when my dose is due - so it must be working ok, I have had no supplyn issues up to now , - keep well

I take Entresto also Bisoprolol and Degoxin for af and heart failure 😊
