Hi there, does anyone remember suffering from light sensitivity in their eyes when they went through PPP?

Light sensitivity
Hi Lizziebennet,
Thanks for reaching out to us.
I didn't personally experience this, but a mum, who had PP, I've chatted with did. I'm think she said she eventually found out from a doctor that it was something to do with the high levels of cortisol affecting the nerve endings in her eyes. She has no issues with it now.
I'll see if I can find out more or get her to write on here for you.
Take care,
Jocelyn
yes this happened to me and the olanzapine helped reduce this symptom for me
yes, I experienced this for quite a while but has now passed.
Hi I suffered from PNI (not PP) with a whole array of physical symptoms which started with sensitivity to light, sore eyes (grainy). I took antidepressants which helped most of my physical symptoms though I find I’m am still quite sensitive to light even 19 years after the pni experience! Saying that it doesn’t bother me much - I wear sunglasses when driving most of the time.
Thank you so much. The light sensitivity I have is crazy and it has been weeks. It is not just here and there. I keep on thinking I am sick with something else because of it.
Yes I did and found wearing sunglasses in the ward helped. I also couldn’t look at highly patterned things like checked tablecloths in cafes as they made me feel worse and my head spin.
