Eastenders: Will anyone be watching... - Action on Postpar...
Eastenders
Hi Kirstielou, I don't really watch it but think I will start. I'll be interested to see how the storyline goes as I understand some APP trustees and members have been involved with the show so it should be done sensitively/ appropriately... whilst accepting it is a drama and therefore entertainment on some level.
There was also a recent post asking for volunteers to take part in a research project which you might like to check out: healthunlocked.com/app-netw...
Take care, xx
I'm not sure yet. I don't watch eastenders but would like to see how its portrayed. I won't be watching it on Christmas day that's for sure! Probably watch it on my own on iPlayer.
At least I have warning unlike with the call the midwife episode! Hadn't even heard of APP then and had no idea. Was really upsetting.
Hi,
Yes I watch it all the time so will be good for others to understand more about pp as I had ever even heard of it before.
I hate soaps so going to record it to watch her scenes only!
Yes I will be watching... My big fear is not being triggered by the psychosis scenes, but being sucked into all the other storylines so much that I end up a soap addict!
Hi all
Yes, this is an exciting time with such huge opportunity of getting the message out there about PP. I imagine each of us have to do whatever we feel we can cope with in terms of watching it...self care is so important I think.
I personally am not a fan of EastEnders and don't watch it, and also don't fancy watching any scenes of someone with PP to be honest, so I think I'll avoid it.
Just wanted to direct anyone to the other thread about research APP are undertaking in relation to Eastenders - so if anyone is watching it and doesn't mind taking part in research do please get in touch with us. Info of the thread here: healthunlocked.com/app-netw...
Thanks all
