Hi Hanita,
Are you based in the UK? It might be a good idea if you see one of our pre eclampsia experts to talk about what you have been through and to answer your questions. If you email me directly at info@apec.org.uk I can help you further.
Kind regards. Ann Marie
unfortunately, i m not based in UK but you will receive my e-mail any time soon.
Thank you fr your assistance
Hello Hanita
I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your baby . I lost my first son at 25 and a half weeks due to pre eclampsia and understand the devastation and hurt you are feeling. APEC are a fantastic organisation who helped me to find advice from an experienced advisor so it's great that you have been able to connect with them today . There is hope in future pregnancies , my second son was born healthy with no complications. I never thought that I could get through those dark days when I lost my precious son , but there is hope , you will need to be monitored very closely in your next pregnancy. There is no one who can say either way if you are definitely going to get it again or not and there are some tests out there which have recent publicity ,the fact that so many women do go on to have successful pregnancies after experiencing such a dreadful loss is perhaps something that you can keep in your heart . Donna xx
Hi Cameron, your story really gave me hope. Do you mind sharing your protocol in your successful pregnancy with me please, I am so desperate.
Hello I was under the guidance of one of the APEC referred specialists and at that time a vitamin trial was being used which looked promising ,however since that time this has actually been found to be of no use and may even cause more harm than good . I did however take Aspirin before and during my pregnancy . Don't do this without the advice of a Doctor please as it is important to be properly guided . I lost weight prior to my second pregnancy and walked every day up to the birth of my second son. I tried to limit my stress and kept a positive attitude that it would work out well x
thank you s much for sharing your experience. i wasn't aware of preeclampsia before i have it and it was quite difficult for me to believe that i have it and it even exists. then i was kind of depressed and used to tink that i am the only one who has suffered from it. Then i learn that it could happen to anyone not just me. i now started to accept it and start building my hope up of having a normal and healthy pregnancy the next time. Its good to learn others experience.
Hi Hanita,
So sorry for your lost. I, too, lost my little girl at 23 weeks due to severe Pre-e. That happened in June this year. I have done tons of blood tests but did not found anything significant. My doctor said that you should wait at least six months to try again. Hugs.
I am sorry for your loss. Please consult your doctor, he/she is best placed to advice you and APEC is also a good point of contact. I note Ann Marie has offered support. Wish you every success in the future. Our research is still a long way from becoming a therapy. It requires clinical trials before we will know if it works.
Dear Cameron,
Thank you for your concern. Highly appreciated. I have tried to consult three high risk doctors in my area and they all seem to think it's just a first pregnancy thing as there were no underlying factor. I am now pregnant with baby number two, in fact I am now 16 weeks pregnant. up until now i am having peaceful pregnancy, no blood pressure and nothing. I put my faith in God and following my appointments strictly. I also took 5mg folic acid and 81mg coated asprin. I am hoping to have a healthy full term pregnancy and I put all my faith in God.
