Regarding your diet, which of the following do you avoid hoping to reduce the severity of your symptoms?

How it has helped?

How long it took to reduce symptom severity?

Plus did you get a herxheimer reaction? (ie did the symptoms get worse before better!) & any other useful info :)

I've reduced the amount of bread and pastry products I eat and make my own sourdough.(less bloating and wind)

Reduced sugar, and rarely use processed foods. (Again, hidden wheat and sweeteners cause bloating and wind.)

Monosodiun Glutamate and many E numbers went when my children were small. (MSG used to give me stomach cramps and diarrhoea; certain E numbers made the children hyperactive)

I avoid peppers, chillies and aubergines and have reduced potatoes. (Bloating, wind and diarrhoea.)
