Ima health professional myself and am shocked at the attitudes of senior health professionals towards me before and after being diagnosed. Before diagnosis, I was treated as though there wasn't a condition that matched my simptoms and as I became worse , losing weight by the week compounded by exhaustion and extreme migraines. I reaserched my simptoms myself and suggested on both occasions that I may have fibro and then ME. At this point, she agreed and refered me to the appropriate specialist. This took 3 years with not a hint or thought to what I may have? By a GP? It's shocking, sonsidering how common these conditions are.
