Cardioversion dilitazem and update

Hello everyone posted recently about going to see cardiologist which I paid for and and had allergic reaction to bisoprolol so was taken off cold turkey and the digoxin and put on dilitazem had to be slowly increased to 360 mg per day hr still around 100 my gp said I would be out on amiderone, cardiologist said no and had put me in for a cardioversion as my heart is in quite good condition and ejection factor of 45 is result of afib.As I am asymptomatic he suggested after cardioversion to check on a kardia once a week to see if sinus rhythm holding.

My question is do I carry on dilitazem after the cardioversion as I am certainly tolerating it better than bisoprolol as I presume you have to keep on taking something for when afib comes back.

So the gp was wrong mentioning amiderone as all the lovely people who replied to my post said.

Hi Parya, having 6 years experience of AF and the various treatments my advice is always to follow your cardiologists advice. Your GP is not an expert and should not be giving advice if you are already under a cardiologist. Your GP is there only to monitor the situation and report back to the cardiologist.
