Ablation

Good news. I am going to get scheduled for cryoballon ablation with new Physician who was very thorough and impressive. He is also going to hospitalize me and start me on new antiarrhythmic medication and cardiovert me if necessary. I feel very hopeful. He told me I may never get out of afib permanently but will get rate and symptoms under control and I will more than likely be on medication the rest of my life and have a better quality of life. I have persistent afib. and thought I would just have to live like this feeling terrible all the time and having to hold on to walls for balance etc. No months of waiting either. I am very optimistic and just want to tell everyone out there to keep at it. I have been searching for a second opinion since last October and wish I had done it earlier. Thank you to everyone in the forum for encouraging me. Appreciate all the support.

I don’t know your background, but this sounds very positive and I am pleased for you! 🥰

That sounds very encouraging, and having a good doctor can make a world of difference. Fingers crossed!

Happy for you! I wish you full success - and success is possible with persistent AF even though they tell you there’s less chance. I know because I’ve been there and got the T-shirt. A good physician is everything- I put off the date of my ablation by a fortnight to ensure I had the EP of my choice! Keep us updated on how it goes.

Thank you. Feel like I am at the right practice now. Should have been more aggressive earlier. Was told there was nothing they could do and was impossible to get appointment. For everyone out there go to a Practice that puts your needs first.
