Maze Procedure

Does the Maze procedure (done during OHS) have an impact on tachycardia or is it a different animal that must be dealt with separately?

Thanks!

Hopefully, but no guarantees with tachycardia's. If the Maze doesn't take care of it, you can always do a follow up catheter ablation if your tachycardia burden warrants it. Just remember, as with catheter ablation, there is a healing period afterwards where you may even have more tachycardia's than before, but I'm sure your surgeon will explain all.

Most times my tachycardia is directly associated with my afib so hopefully it is taken care of with the maze ablation !
