Actually I have controlled heart rate - was rapid, with no symptoms now.
Where does the poeticness come from?
Derek Jarman is my cousin - film director, artist, poem and writer. He started the uplift for gay folks to be accepted in this world. He died in 1994. I met his sister Gay in Oxford.
Poems just come to me and flow in. I love it. I'm a fan of Sam Hunt Poet, Writer and Actor.
Thank you for those! You are more imaginative than I. I tend to write narrative, story-telling style poems with a message on love or on social issues, including, recently, gay marriage, in support of my LGBTQ friends.
As a retired musician, I got into poetry writing a while after realizing Afib was going to be part of my life. I think one becomes more philosophical, introspective and escapist in searching for sanctuary from the dread of Afib.
I don't imagine the Afib Forum is tolerant of too much poetry exchange. I have a first book of 47 poems being printed and bound this week. I think it will earn a great deal of money - for the printer!
I would suggest though, that for those living with Afib, self expression through music, art and writing can be a vital source of positivity and peace.
Here is a brief, more subtle poem, which could be, perhaps, related to the feeling we have when our fickle hearts let us down. Don't tell anyone it is not really about that!
