Who else suffers from severe fatigue, it never goes away, I had it before I was diagnosed, have been on medication for 3 weeks, Bisoprol, Lixania and Atorvastatin. My Qrisk score is 25.

My blood pressure is now normal, I am eating healthy so why do i have no energy if anyone can advise that would be wonderful, Thankyou.

Hi Saffron, yes I get days when I'm really tired. I call mine Lazyitis and have suffered from it since spending a lot of time being indoors because of all the winter rain we had. Today I've had a good day, managed to cut back a bush and brambles in the garden, filling three large black bags. Then I had to wash my car as a seagull had pooped all over it and the porch. Guess I will ache tomorrow.

I've tried all sorts of vitamin pills, nothing gives me energy. For me I think it's more a state of mind and once I actually start doing something I become more energetic.

I hope someone will give you an answer as to what gives them energy. Will wait with you to see the replies to your post. Though at the moment it's looking like no one has an easy answer.

Jean

Thanks for the reply JeanJeannie, there are other posts on fatigue i have been reading, suggestions are changing the times of medication, I am going to take them in the evening now instead of midday, time will tell x

Do check with a pharmacist or your GP before changing the times. Some meds do have to be taken at certain times of day.

when I was diagnosed with AF . Got bisoprol and edixaban . Felt dreadful, couldn’t function . Write a letter to my GP explaining everything before I hit the appointment. She increased the Bisoprolal and put me back on my BP medication . Wihin 2 days I was back to myself .. it’s a horrible feeling

I find it hard to separate out the fatigue from AF itself from the effects of the medication. All three of the tablets you're on can make you feel tired so there are potentially layers of fatigue. I take Atorvastatin in the evening and the other two early morning, you may find that with time you'll get used them. If not I'd ask if your dose of bisoprolol can be changed or split.

I developed fatigue around the same time as the PAF and fatigue is listed as one of the “rare” side effects of the Flecainide I take which keeps my heart in order very well. I am 80 though and had well over 70 healthy active years before this struck after a virus when I couldn’t get an appointment and an antiviral!

Hi

What is your heart Beat?

Bisoprolol dose? Has the effect of 'keeping you' quiet. Dampens adrenaline.

I take 2.5mg Bisoprolol and I can get tired and I have a sleep in the day if I feel like it.

Both the Bisoprolol and the statin can cause fatigue. Why were you given the statin?

before my mini maze I was put on bisoprolol and goodness I couldn’t function, I was in my bed at 7pm at night and floored. I was switched to digoxin which has different risks especially if you are older but I didn’t experience the fatigue. Good luck in finding the right balance for you.
