Hi RedRoses.

I must say I haven't heard of this one before. Can I also suggest that you won't have mild afib - you are are either in or your out. No middle ground with afib.

You may have PAF were it comes and goes. Maybe this is what you mean by 'mild' afib. If so I would suggest talking to your doctor. It might be worth considering an anticoagulant.

Have a great weekend.

I looked up letter from Cardiologist to review MRI , he saw some slight thickening in muscle ? Occasional palpitations . Take 1.25 Bosop if symptomatic . ( to reduce thickening ) That was only visit to clinic .

What is PAF? I am on Rivaroxaban 10 mg blood thinner for APS (autoimmune ) which might cause the occasional symptomatic AF . I’m not really conversant with Cardio and AF .wave 👋

Hi Redroses.

Copy and paste about PAF.

Paul

The term "paroxysmal atrial fibrillation" (PAF) refers to episodes of AF that come and go. In PAF, the irregular heart rhythm starts suddenly and can last for minutes, hours, or days before returning to normal sinus rhythm.

Thank you , I guess that’s it then . 👋

The Cardio’s report letter did not give a name. That sounds like it though ‘occasional Symptomatic palpitations - PAF . Thank you for diagnosis name 😂.

No worries Roses. Many of us afibbers have PAF. Personally I would like to know where I stand. Either PAF or permanent - it would make life so more easy.

I feel I have permanent PAF , as in Permanant occasional , because auto immune . Cardio said the slight thickening of ‘muscle ‘ leading to heart was caused by afib , to take 1.25 Bosop would help to reduce . ?? It’s not got worse , if autoimmune flare due factors , then bit of afib . Like he said ‘symptomatic ‘ for a couple of years have taken a full strength magnesium before bed . That helps I read and experienced . Must avoid stress , and cold as triggers . 👋

Valsalva maneuver a very old procedure. Usually the first thing to try at A&E. Never worked for me
