Been on Apixiban for a while and I have not had any problems. Dental extraction missed one dose.

sorry malcolm, not sure if that’s a statement of fact or a question. Either way it shouldn’t be a problem but if click on the link below for NICE guidelines and scroll down to dental and medical treatment, it’s normally not necessary to stop a dose for having a tooth removed. On the basis we have all missed a dose occasionally by accident and lived to tell the tale, missing doses is obviously best avoided but not normally a problem. If you need any more information, just let us know……

I’m in Portugal so link will not work. Try Googling “NICE guidelines for Apixaban”

Hi. I bleed with teeth extractions and so miss three doses of Apixaban before, and after, the extraction. This action was proposed by my Cardiologist. I am still around! Good luck. TerryW

Are you after advice or did you have a problem?

Same here - no problems. When I had a small op last March though, I was off it for quite some time. Fortunately, during that time I had no AF.
