I had a Pulse Field ablation just over 2 weeks ago. Recovery all been good, went for a gentle 2 mile stroll a few days ago. Last day or so seem to have a dull , mild pain/ache in heart area.
Just wondered with the vast knowledge on this site if it should be considered abnormal or just something to expect.
Perhaps I was wrongly assuming a PFA would be an easier recovery.

Everyone’s recovery experience seems to be different. Listen to your body, it may be saying that was too much. As long as you feel well otherwise do not worry.
I think these pains either are from other areas that become bruised during the insertion of the catheter, or are referred pain, maybe from the diaphragm or gastric area. The problem with any cardiac issue is that anxiety easily and quickly builds up when a discomfort is felt. I think you'll find all will settle down well over the coming few weeks.
Hi there, I hope you start feeling better soon. Kindly update us on this situation. PFA is still very new and not much seems to be known about the after effects or how recovery should go. My understanding is that PFA does not use heat. Did you feel any burning sensation in your heart as the procedure was carried out?
I’m finding recovery from cardio ablation is like nothing else. Normally I’d be pushing myself forward that little bit, going a bit further every day. But I don’t think my heart wants to do that. I spent the first 3 weeks walking no further than 200 yards. At 6 weeks post ablation I’m still only 1 mile max. Listen very carefully to what your heart is saying and it will tell you to stop before you feel tired, before you put strain on the system. Better to put your energy into learning deep breath and relaxation techniques at this stage.
