I have afib episodes. Cardiologist wants me to have an MRA (which is MRI of arteries) to check my carotid artery blockage. I found out that if you have old dental work as I do, it could cause a serious issue even dislodging the teeth Some of my dental work (crowns)are 50yrs old and apparently contain nickel which could cause the problem. Cardiologist acts like he never heard of this but I did alot of research and found credible sources.

What is wrong with echo test (dopler) of carotid?
Yes I had this but if you can use an experienced operator as sometimes interpretation can be difficult, may require a second opinion.
I think had a CT scan for my carotid, as I was told the MRI wouldn't work with my pacemaker
