Digoxin did nothing for me other than to make me feel extremely depressed which is not me at all.I tried it twice with same effects . Refuse to take it now.

I had lower abdomen discomfort for the 4 days I was on digoxin. My doctor changed me to verapamil but that seems to cause some constipation.

I should contact your doctor.

I'm the same as Jalia, Digoxin made me feel extremely depressed (that's not me either), slightly not with-it and in a daze. I would never take it again.

Let your GP or cardiology dept know asap.

hi my husband takes it he was on 250 microgrammes no cut to 125. I wish he wasn’t on it at all but bisoprolol took his heart rate too low. He hasn’t had stomach issues but dizziness moodiness and forgetfulness. I’d definitely tell your gp/hospital

When I was first properly diagnosed with afib after an overnight stay in hospital I was discharged from hospital with digoxin. On getting home I took my first tablet and a while later my heart was banging like mad.!! I was also flushed and my heart rate had shot up.!! I was in NSR but it was 100+ at rest.!!! So I went to bed thinking this must be normal when you first start taking digoxin and tried not to worry too much.?

Later on that evening my wife woke me up and told me someone from hospital is on the phone needing to talk to me.! It was the cardiologist who then asked me if I’d started the medication already.? I said yes just like you instructed .!! She said do not take anymore. I told her my heart was fast and I was flushed and she said if I felt any pains or felt poorly call ambulance.😳 she also said I should be ok In morning. I was now scared so I sat up all night studying my funeral arrangements😁not daring to sleep and my heart rate slowly came down.👍 I never found out what happened in my case with digoxin and I never got any answers from anyone regarding this incident.?

Thank you so much Jetcat for your reply , I’ve been feeling dreadful with stomach pain bloating and breathlessness after taking Digoxin. I did tell my GP and he gave me Famotidine and told me to continue with digoxin , only made things ten times worse . So after having days of pain I decided to stop taking Digoxin . I will inform my GP when I get a chance to see him .

I may ask if I can try something else instead of bisoprolol?
