Hello Lamplight, you’ve replied by making another post - but I had a quick look at your previous post. Don’t apologise. Nobody is meant to exactly give advice, as mentioned by the reply, but you are in touch with your GP and seeking medical advice through them. Sometimes you just want to talk through what is happening, and the forum is great for that.

I hope that you get a quick reply and that they can set your mind at rest. Also, they will be able to advise if/when it is ok to take your Bisoprolol early. There is usually a maximum per day. At the moment I am on 5mg per day - I’m in persistent/permanent AFib.

Try not to worry too much, as really that tends to make things worse. Easier said than done of course!

Edited - I see that you were actually taken off the Bisoprolol? So that would need some discussion with your doctor. Do let us know how you get on. A lot of people on here have done really well with pace & ablate, but there is some recovery time following all of these procedures. It could be in my future if my heart rate doesn’t stay settled.

Sorry I didn't read your original post , been busy today. Appreciate that you have been stressed and needed some support but cyber hugs (((( )))) are all we can do as we must not give medical advice though personal experiences as fine.

My PM took several months before I started to forget it was there and only works as a safety net if my HR drops too low. I have not had AV node ablation so not PM dependent so my HR is often up near 100 and averages 80 or so. Absolutely no problems with this!

Lamplight it is I who needs to apologise and I do. I didn't mean to upset you. The forum rules are that we can't advise on medication.

Your doctor needs to make a plan with you to say what drugs you can take and in what circumstances. Also what you should do when feeling unwell, i.e. call GP, 111 or go to A&E or 999, depending on severity of symptoms.

AFib effects us all differently. So other people's experiences will be different from yours.

Hope you get help from your doctors.

Very best wishes for the future.

I'm surprised and sorry that you received such an abrupt reply to your last post. That's certainly not normal on here. Ask away, we love to help in any way we can.

Does a heart rate of 90bpm make you feel ill, I know it can some people? I'm in constant AF and mine can be that rate quite normally and I feel fine. I asked my GP at what heart rate I should consider going to A&E with and he said over a130, also when it makes you feel poorly.
