medication morning or evening?
Depends what the meds are and how often they have to be taken, I have to take mine morning and evening and sometimes midday as well but then I’m on quite a few meds.
I agree with Bantam. Depends on the meds and what you were orginally told when originally prescribed them. Unless you have been told otherwise by GP or Pharmacist then you should take the doses as prescribed. Like Bantam, I take quite a number of meds, some in the morning some in the evening.
I take all my tablets, which should be taken once daily, in the evening before going to bed, I use my asthma inhaler twice daily about 9am, and about 9pm
Some in the morning some in the evening. I was advised to take BP tablets in the evening apart from diuretics.
Some have to be taken in the morning while some have to be taken in the evening. Why not ask your pharmacist?
Apart from one apixaban, I take all else with breakfast. I've often wondered whether taking half a dozen tablets together is a good idea, but I know it goes on in hospitals, so I assume it is and I have no reason to think otherwise.
In terms of effect, I gather than beta-blockers have a long enough half-life to mean that dosing time shouldn't much difference as the drug soon reaches a "steady state" in the blood stream; however, I have read that some doctors like a split dose of bisoprolol; I also gather that some BP medicines have been shown to be much more effective when taken at night.

Hi
My H/Rate was high during day compared with night 47 so it was realistic to have H.R lowering CCB Calcium Channel Blocker Diltiazem to have AM.
BB Beta Blocker of Adrenaline works for checking BP and also needs to be separated to CCB so I take Bisoprolol at PM.
PRADAXA is taken twice a day - need I say more.
I take Thyroxin since Papillary Cancer was diagnosed and removed. This is taken 6am - 7am. No food for 1 hour. Also taken early AM as taken on empty stomach.
I hope this helps.

I was taking Edoxaban (DOAC) in the evening, but then I read a study that, although not fully confirmed, identified that coagulation is highest in the mornings (on waking), so I switched to the morning. When I’ve told medics that I take it in the morning they’ve unanimously said, “Oh good”. So I take that as a confirmation.
