Hello my mother may go on MULTAG but she is afraid to take it because she is afraid of the side effects that it can cause. Does anyone not recommend it or what side effects have people out there had?

I was on Multaq for about two years and I will tell you I never had a problem with it. I had been on amiodarone, and that did a number on me. I was sick all the time. The only reason I was taken off Multitech was because I was no longer NSR

Now just remember everyone handles things differently. I did not go looking for side effects. I found nothing that interfered with daily life. She has to have an open mind and she needs something so tell her to give it a try. The doctors will know if she is having bad side effects by what she tells them when she is taking them best of luck.

My dr once told me not to read the leaflet part about side effects as I get very anxious about taking new meds ,she said half of it will b in your head and if u don't know about it u can't imagine it! It worked for me but I understand your mums reservations about new drugs ,it sounds like she has already read about side effects but reassure her that they don't happen to everyone ,and she obviously needs the meds for her condition, so give it a try ,u will know within about an hour if u r going to react to them and if u do just don't take anymore and contact your dr for advice 😉 hope this helps ,x

I have never looked at any of the slips which come with drugs and never had any side effects whatsoever! Totally agree with your doctor.
