self funded consultation with cardiologist?

Can anyone please recommend a cardiologist that would be willing to see me on the above basis. I have had 2 cardio-versions and one ablation. My atrial fibrillation returned this year. I feel i am taking too many prescribed drugs at once , and making too many trips to A&E. I will be in possession of a "doctors letter". I live between Stoke on Trent and Shrewsbury (England). Thank you.

Professor Faizel Osman,University Hospital Coventry and Warwick,( Walsgrave)Excellent reputation, I saw him initially as private at the on site BMI Hospital there, then he transferred me to NHS.

Cannot fault him,really very good.

Inital appointment around 170 to 200 pounds, best I ever spent.

Can self refer direct or through GP.

Highly recommended and not too far from Stoke.

Xx

By the way he is an Electrophysiologist,a Cardiology Consultant with extra years of training in arrhythmia of all kinds.

hi

Sanjay Gupta does online consultations and they can be booked online. He is based in York (York cardiology) and I have travelled to see him from Shrewsbury. Excellent cardiologist and a lovely man.

Best wishes

Birmingham Heart Rhythm Group at The Priory in Edgbaston. I saw Dr Lencioni; very warm and speaks complex matters in a way you can easily understand. Again around £200 for a consultation. I was not willing to wait a year for diagnosis so he sorted that out with me and has given me options to discuss with him in June. He also wrote a handwritten letter to my GP whilst I was there soI could have anticoagulants asap and followed up with a formal letter with my treatment plan.

Hi - I used and would recommend this group about 3 weeks ago and great experience - now diagnosed and about to get on a route to treatment

birminghamheartrhythmgroup....

Appt was at Birmingham Priory

Cost - £200 for consultation + £40 for ECG

Got an appt in 3 days vs advised 4 months for urgent referral on NHS - so pleased I made that decision!!
