Hi,
I have an ablation scheduled April 20th. (First one).
Is it realistic to schedule a business trip May 20--30 days later?
Not overly strenuous trip, but flight from California to Florida
and a few meetings, plus fun beach time.

Technically probably yes, but I wouldn't. You need at least a week of very little activity (no lifting more than 10 pounds) and no flying, so your groin will heal properly. With the airports, luggage, and the unforeseen, you're cutting it very close.

Do nothing the first week, not much more the second and then ease in slowly. If you really really can't get out of it give yourself plenty of time at airports to avoid too much stress and DRINK LOTS OF WATER. (no alcohol of course).
I had a business trip 6 days after quite an extensive ablation which was not ideal. The main problem was back ache and not sleeping very well, but overall it was OK, I got the job done. I'd have thought 20-30 days would have been fine. A flight is also a lot more relaxing that driving assuming you travel light.
Personally I would have been unable to walk through an airport a month after each of my ablations. But it varies hugely xx
