This is purely a personal suggestion, but if you see a post from someone you don’t think you have seen before, check their profile by clicking on their name. If they have only just joined the forum, assess whether or not the content is something you would expect to see from a new member. If it isn’t, probably best to treat with caution or ignore…..…

Morning FJ.
Luckly there aren't many trolls on here. One pops up from time to time but if you don't feed them they go elsewhere. It's worth noting that English is not everyones everyones native language so sometimes a post may feel 'odd' because of the translation. Google translate often makes some major errors which can seem offensive but were not intended as such.

Personally I have not found the person and posts I think you are referring to as a Troll, a trifle disgruntled and mischievous for sure so not poking the beast is sensible advice. At least he has a sense of humour.
I also think sometimes we can be a little over zealous in truncating posts and in not tolerating difference which often comes from geography and culture.
I think this person was a waste of time.
I know what you are saying Jalia, but things are not always what they seem so try not to be too judgmental and perhaps consider the suggestions offered….
I get you FJ. I have a great deal of time for those with mental health issues, having witnessed the suffering of close family members and friends. The derogatory reference to Bob was the red light but still drew people in.
As you have indicated, the initial post should have sent out warning signals. Unfortunately Bob's lighthearted remark did not go down well !!
Let's hope that the matter is now closed
I wouldn't use the term Troll CD .......... more bluntly I would use the terms digital stalking and phishing ........... these things are shapeshifting all the time which can then take peeps onto the dark web !
I've missed the fun again? Obviously didn't read all of a thread or didn't look at the post because it was one I had no experience of.
Yeah, I missed out to ....... mind you from what I have gleaned its probably just as well else it might have brought the worst of the Australian in me out into the public domain. 😱😱😱
Ah, guilty as charged, replied as I didn’t recognise the sarcasm. Weird thing was that they must have had two accounts at one stage and replied to themselves!
Will be on the look-out. I do often check if there is any conspiracy theory type stuff in a post - sometimes they are also from new people.
Well, to be honest I think there are three (3) at work at the moment. Two have been identified. One is roaming free ............. just saying in my view.
Will keep my head down. It isnae me, honest.
This is turning out like a game of Cluedo. Can I be Professor Plum heheh.
Paul
I've changed my mind - I want to be Colonel Mustard. Jean can be Mrs Peacock and FJ Reverend Green.
Sorry, I'll behave myself now.

I have obviously missed something, but thanks for the warning Flapjack. I think the art is not to get drawn in, though can be hard when we're wanting to see the best in everyone.
Just to add to the thread - there is one operating on HU right now. I've no intention of naming and shaming (either on the open forum or by PM) but I clocked him on a thread of mine. I find it sad that people need to behave in this fashion. I won't bother to respond to him again and I would imagine he'll get his marching orders soon and sent his P45.
Facebook is the best place for that. Some of the arguments on there are so funny. Some people have nothing better to do with their day than hide behind their computer trading insults all day and trying to wind people up.
Sad really.
