Not sure you will find many people who drink pine needle tea……was it bought or foraged?
Not something I would want to try but we are all different.
cheers all. Got the tea from amazon.
Within 15 mins I felt my heart rate go all over the place and felt jittery. Never again.
Good grief! Please don’t have that stuff again! And thanks for the warning. I’m of the opinion that anything that might be classified as a “herbal remedy” is best avoided. Herbs, tinctures, tisanes, etc can be very potent and in some cases like taking a drug we have no clue about. My rule of thumb is to stick to culinary herbs only and teas that are for sale in the supermarkets and regular high street shops, like green tea, peppermint, chamomile etc. Otherwise you have no idea what you’re taking. I certainly won’t be touching “pine needle tea” with a ten foot pole!
Hopefully pine kernals don't have the same impact. I'll make do with the lovely scent of pine trees in nearby forest and stick to my decaf thanks!
Thanks for the warning!
What is supposed to be unhealthy about normal tea? We’ve been drinking it for thousands of years without any problems. 🤷♂️
If you would some herbal teas that don't trigger a.f.,liquorice, fennel and aniseed are lovely. You can buy them in Marks and Spencer and other supermarkets.
Liquorice root is a potent herb which anyone with arrythmias should avoid - it depletes potassium levels, is known to cause ectopics and other arrythmias. One of the worst episodes I ever had was from eating liquorice strips which were supposedly good for women’s health after menapause - the tea may not be that potent but do be aware. Personally my current favourite is Lemongrass and ginger tea but I was recently introduced to Red Tea by a Chinese friend of mine - interesting.
How annoying that is , as it is my favourite. It has never triggered my afib but as you say , it is probably milder in the tea. I do love fennel and aniseed too. Maybe l am wrong but l thought they were the same family, l hope not. I do drink lemon and ginger, 3 gingers and echinachea , also green tea and ginger but l am not so keen on those. I do have triggers for my afib but often it happens for apparently no reason at all.
