I found this headline on my GP's surgery page. unfortunately it led to a daily Mail link which no longer existed but I found one surgery that had published it in full. Afraid I can't find a date for it.

I may be wrong but I think this aired a couple of days ago in some form.
Your link gave a link to the original 2017 document published in the European Heart Journal. Here it is ...
I’ve joined such a study …. involves giving my brain away when no longer needed. Such fun!
I hate to think how much worse my memory would have been if I hadn't been taking blood thinners for a long, long time. Names of anyone or anything just refuse to enter my head. I was once talking on the phone and the words 'skirting board' wouldn't come, so I had to say the piece of wood that runs around the bottom of a wall. So embarrassing!
I've had a problem remembering people's names my entire life. It's just like a complete mental block. I can describe exactly what they look like just not names. I doubt anything could ever improve that.
You are not alone - I have always had a problem when in a situation where I was introduced to a whole lot of people, and unable to remember their names. I had to discover these bit by bit while hiding the fact that I didn't already know them, Fortunately my memory is otherwise in reasonable condition.
I wonder who directly or indirectly (eg grants to an institution but not specific to the study) financed that study? I wasn't always that cynical but so dissappointed at the publicity given to the way cheap repurposed drugs for Covid were deliberately suppressed in favour of more expensive vaccines. The quickest way to find out the truth is usually to look in the opposite direction to the money.
More specifically to your post, I have also read an opinion (sorry don't have the reference to hand) that anti coagulants can cause tiny incompetent blood vessels in the brain or elsewhere to bleed more.
