Hi

I went private after 2 years 3 months and already had a change of meds.

It takes time to get you controlled and settled but CCB Calcium Channel Blocker controlled me.

Happy with bP and H.Rates. 77-88 H/R avge Day 47 H/R at night.

1.25mg Bisoprolol at night separated from CCB.

cheers JOY. 73. (NZ)

Hi not sure what you mean for pulse speed, but I'm assuming a fast pulse. My experience which may be completely irrelant. When I first went into Afib my pulse went to 190 I went to A&E and they contolled it with bisoprolol 5mg, and that has been my drug for the last 10 years. For me it seems to work quite effectively. I've had ablations(3) and cardioversions (3) all of which have worked for a while but not permanently. I don't think going private would make much difference unless at a completly different hospital and consultants, But having done it, its expensive, an ablation can be over £10k.
