Sotalol and bisoprolol

Last few years I've been pretty stable. But the af is returning. I've been earmarked for an ablation over the next few months. I take bisoprolol to keep things level but not so helpful now. My EP has offered me sotalol. But without a pip. Standalone only. If in af I take extra bisoprol pretty quickly. Generally kills the episode over 2 hours or so. But I cant do that with sotalol. I cant tolerate flecainide or propofenone .

Any suggestions.
