Does anybody have Afib regularly, say every 14 days but between that time you are ok. My Afib is not a fast heartbeat type. I am just irregular. It’s lasts about 3 days. After a night I can exercise and my heart rate may go occasionally up to 160, it goes back down when I stop. This is the only way I can get rid of it. I used to get rid of it after about 24 hours now it takes longer to get back to sinus. It will never go back if I rest it needs to go faster to get back. I only take a anticoagulant. Originally I was given Bisoprolol and flecainade and they made it worse as I was told not to exercise while taking flecainade. I stopped taking it because it slowed my heart rate down so much I collapsed and had to be resuscitated. I am wondering why it’s comes at regular intervals, is it that my body has to much of something and it puts me into Afib and then while in Afib it goes away or the other way round am I lacking in something that triggers it and then the Afib after a couple of days puts it back. Nobody seems to do any research into this. Baffling.

Is your Afib regular and in between you are ok?
I am very similar in that my afib is just irregular and I find exercise the best way to get back to normal rhythm, except some of my episodes can last 7 to 12 days. I can't exercise at the start, exhausted, so need to wait until heartbeat gets stronger before I can do some 5k runs to get back to sinus rhythm. I am on 1.25ml Bisoprolol but have never been on flecainade
I would make a private appointment with your cardiologist to save delay as the frequency of episodes is likely to increase and alternative drugs may be prescribed. Also consider Lifestyle changes as frequently discussed here and in the book 'The Afib Cure' by John Day an American cardiologist.
yes i have a regular paf and lasts approx 24 hours
Lucy .... This sounds very familiar. My AFib incidence was every 10 days plus or minus one. After several years of confusion, I started to keep track of stomach upset. Lo and behold, they seemed to roughly coincide. with AF attacks.
