Can anyone tell me if it’s too early to have a drink. It’s been 12 weeks and I’m going on holiday, I’m not bothered by drink if I’m honest but just in case i fancy one do you think it’s ok or would I be ruining all the work that’s been done.

Drink
Personally if you managed this long I wouldn't want to risk starting again anyway but you are not me and alcohol has very little place in my life. I think most AF related benfits are more about changes to life style.
Definitely resist that drink particularly when relaxing on holiday, would be my approach with vagally mediated AF and current great QOL at stake.
Drinking used to give me a lovely warm feeling inside , I now get a warm feeling knowing I'm not risking another AF episode by stopping drinking and exploring all the many alternatives. 7 years on and I honestly can say I don't miss it and I was a regular drinker! Hope you have a nice holiday.
Thank you, I’ve not drank for over three years now and I can honestly say I don’t miss it, I think it was the thought of being on holiday that I thought maybe one but I think I will stay on the path of no alcohol 😊.
It's funny isn't it? I've not been drinking now for 2 year and very occasionally I get a yen for it. But I make do with plain chocolate and that seems to hit the spot. I was very attached to my good quality wines too so it was a big deal for me. No regrets as, like you, I've found I feel better without it.
I you do happen to be tempted into it, then ensure that you drink as much, or even more, water at the same time. I risk a glass of wine with a meal, but will get through most of a decanter/large bottle of water alongside it.
After all you've been through, I personally if I were you, would not want to take the risk!
You cannot undo a scar which is what an ablation creates. My EP told me to not drink for three months. Basically I haven't had more than a sniff in last three years but would like to have the odd drink now and again in the future
