Hi all, had follow up app yesterday and they are happy to lower my flecanide from 100 mg to 50 mg , halve my bisoporol to one a day, am I likely to get withdrawal symptoms from this? , they did say I could come off all meds but I thought that may be to much at once. If I do get withdrawal symptoms how soon am I likely to get them and how long will the withdrawal symptoms go on for ? . Hope everyone is doing ok and keeping well.

Oh that's good news Electric! So pleased for you as you had a bit of a tough time. They'll tell you no withdrawal symptoms for Flecainide but I didn't find that. We arent all the same are we? You can only try it out. See what others say. One thing you could do would be to start with 100 in the morning and 50 in the evening and see how you go for a bit. Another thing others have reported here is to take reduced dose 1 day, normal dose the following -so alternate days.

It's all about helping you abd your heart to slowly adapt.

Thank you, I’ve halved the dose on both and it’s day two so I’m going to see how I go, if it’s not suitable, which I hope it is but if not I will go back up. It’s the flecainide I want to get off the most as it’s had the most side effects. I will keep you updated.

I was told to stop 150mg x 2daily Flecainide as I'd gone into persistent AF. I was assured that nothing would happen to me, so stopped immediately, not taking any more. Nothing happened as a result.

It’s interesting isn’t it that things affect some and not others, I was like that with colchicine, was told it would make me really ill and I had nothing but loosing weight with it 😊.

No experience myself (yet), but I've read many times on this forum that bisoprolol in particular should be reduced gradually, not stopped suddenly. I do remember the long curve to tolerance of this drug when I started it. I'd hate to experience a sudden down spiral version of that.

Hi, well I’ve halved them both and if all goes well I will try and get off altogether at some point but am going to do it very slowly.
