Please get medical care now. Such a low oxygen level requires attention.

I think he meant it showed pulse not 74% oxygen level. Certainly hope so.

Please don't answer this question until you've seen medical professionals but; are there home oximeters? If so what brand has done well for you? I have all the other tools but I didn't know that this was available.

Never mind my dumb question. A quick search on Amazon shows me that several are available for about the cost of a decent dinner. They just haven't had the kind of publicity the AliveCor unit has had or the easy retail availability that blood pressure meters have.

Hello. I had a very similar experience about four weeks ago. I’ve been miraculously free of AF since my ablation in 2017. I woke to find myself in AF (pulse ranging from 40 to 200) and lost consciousness briefly. Dialled 111 who sent an ambulance that took me to St Thomas’s. Fortunately reverted back to synus rythmn after a couple of hours but they ran a few tests and noticed that I had an infection. The doctor thought that the infection was the most likely cause of the AF. Booked to see my EP (privately) as I was so concerned it had returned. He said it’s unusual for AF to return 5 years after ablation - more likely to return within the first year. So, might be a one off from the infection or my tolerance levels may have changed so now it only takes a few ectopics to throw me into AF. He said AF begets AF so if it has returned I’m likely to get it again within a few weeks (so far so good). He has put me on a beta blocker and done and echocardiogram (still awaiting results). So, long story short but perhaps you had an infection that prompted it? I am keeping my fingers crossed for both of us that these are blips.
