You may be able to get dispensation if you are low income or maybe an annual discount card. Free prescriptions start at 60 I think.

Hi Dan.

As you are in the UK you can 'prepay' for your med's. This means you can order and not have to pay for each presciption (which can add up). I think it's about £110 a year or you can pay monthly for about ten quid. This is what I do.

I'll put the link below.

Thank you Paul it’s a bit weird that I/we have to pay for heart meds.Something thst you have to take to stop you having a huge AF attack.I have had ppc in the past but was wondering if I did need to actually pay.

I'm not sure Danny - I guess it will depend on your financial situation. Maybe it's worth contacting them on the link above and explaining everything ie your income etc. If you have to pay it can be the cheapest way to do so - cetainly if you need a few different med's each month.

I hope you get it sorted.

Providing you have funds then the only exemptions are thyroid meds and diabetes. Go for prepayment certificate if on more than one medication. If you get a receipt for any meds paid for you’ll get a refund when certificate issued. Take care x
