Worked for me

Hopefully this will help someone. I suffered severe heart failure in July 2021, and for several months after leaving hospital I felt like a wet rag, no get up and go at all. Medication at its optimum and sticking strictly to 1.5 litres fluid intake daily. Exceeded the 1.5 litres one day, and next day felt a little better. Upped intake to 2 litres daily and life improved significantly. Having 20% heart function doesn’t allow a fast and furious lifestyle and I have occasional ‘bad’ days, but in general, life is ok. Weight check every morning to make sure there isn’t fluid build up. So, I certainly don’t advise tinkering with advised medication, but small changes to other parameters may yield benefits. We’re all individuals so what works for one isn’t guaranteed to help another, but there’s no harm trying small changes. A positive attitude is also of great benefit, don’t let the illness dictate everything!
