Hello and welcome back to the forum, I see you first joined back in 2016 but I guess things have been fairly quiet until now. As you may recall from your early visits here, AF is what we call a mongrel condition so it can affect people in so many different ways. If it comes and goes, even if the gaps when you are in normal rhythm are getting shorter, it is still classified as paroxysmal AF but it sounds as though you may be progressing towards persistent AF which is not unusual. Very often we hear folk say that they dread the progression but once they have become persistent and the rate is controlled, they adapt quite well and a lot of the anxiety begins to disappear. Bearing in mind your relatively young age 😉, you ought to ask to see an Electrophysiologist (EP) because they are best placed to treat arrhythmias and if you want to consider procedures such as an ablation, it would be better to do it sooner rather than later. Below is a link which will guide you through some information which you may have seen before but I think it might help.

Hope this helps for starters…….

Hi flap, your so kind in replying so promptly I will certainly take on board what you have said and visit that link ,its funny but it always happens on the evening after around 2 hrs after a light tea when I'm chilled out ,I'm in 2.5mg of bisop and 100mg fleck twice daily but take double dose when an episode starts ,but what's also concerning is HR ,even now I just took pulse and it its only 48 bpm and havnt even took meds today yet, really getting me down ,
I can understand that. You need to bear in mind that most of us are not medically trained, but you need to be careful with the Flecainide. It’s very important that you do not exceed 300 mg within any 24 hour period. You are already taking a fairly high daily maintenance dose so please be cautious. It will probably take a while before you see a specialist on the NHS. If it’s possible, it might be worth investing probably less than £300 to see someone privately. It’s obviously a bit early and as we get nearer to Christmas, the forum generally gets quieter but hopefully you will get some more feedback later….

Will bare that I'm mind thx.
Chilling out after a busy day if you are the sort of person who has stress built in was a classic trigger for me. I can recall 8 yrs ago when I was first diagnosed and running my own professional practice that I couldn't sit down & read/watch tv in the evening after tea without that funny pre-AF feeling starting and so always did very light household chores for an hour to wind down first then it was OK.
Get to an EP ASAP, you can pay for a consultation and then go onto nhs wait for treatment if needed. Buy the longer you wait the worse the outcome is likely to be.
It could be chronic afib. Might be a good idea to talk to your doctor about it.
