Ultrasound

Finally received the results of my abdominal ultrasound that I had Sept 1st. I was told the results would be sent to my Dr no later than 48 hours after the test. I finally had to call the imaging place to get them to send them. Wish these people would do their job. Results were negative. Bile duct not swollen. Apparently Dr thinks there's no stone. But I still have pain. Dr seems to think the pain is from a nerve or related to my degeneration in my spine. Sometimes the pain is bad enough to raise my BP and make my palpitations worse. Dr didn't offer any idea for help except maybe a conversion table to see if that would help my spine. Something I can't afford. I have so little faith in the medical system in Florida. Many people I talk to feel the same. Florida is 41st for bad healthcare in the USA. I'm not wealthy so it's not likely I can move somewhere else to get better care. So I guess I'll just plug along. Thanks to everyone here for listening.

Everyone take care.

Have you considered it being ACNES anterior cutaneous nerve entrapment syndrome. I was in horrendous pain for three years plus and i mean in horrendous pain had my gall bladder removed still no relief from the pain a year on. I paid to see a neurogastroenterologist who diagnosed ACNES, i had a nerve block injection, problem solved.

Can't afford to see all these specialists. And my insurance doesn't cover much. So I guess I do the best I can. In the USA it really does make a difference what you get according to what insurance you can afford. And if you don't have the money to go see someone on your own you don't find out much. It's a shame the medical system in the USA has deteriorated over the years. Like everything else you get what you pay for or can afford and that includes healthcare. Thanks so much for your reply though. At least I can vent and get rid of some the anxiety this causes. Even if just for a little while. You take care.

I live n FL too. I am in Sarasota County and there are some incredible medical professionals here. In general, I agree with your comments but perhaps there is hope.

This happens to me, I contacted the GP’s about it and they stated they had received nothing from the date of the letter 5th Aug. Yesterday an unknown Doctor phoned me from my GP’s to discuss the letter they received on the 7th. Of August. I feel like telling somebody off that even when I asked two of the practice Nurses last week with face to face appointments they still denied the practice received any letters. I now have a copy which doesn’t red very well and requires urgent action. Meanwhile about 6 weeks have gone by with the surgery sitting on it without any action. This is the secon time this as happened in the last few months.

It seems to me bad healthcare has become a pandemic of its own. Not just here in the USA but all over the world. And it has been this way, way before the covid pandemic. It's so frustrating that those in the medical system aren't doing their job.......... And don't care that we patients suffer because they are inept.Praying for you to be able to get what you need soon. 🙏
